Roscommon County Road Commission

We are excited about the opportunity to provide you with information about your roads and the organization that keeps those roads reasonably safe and convenient to travel.   We hope this site will be of use to you today and in the days to come.

The Roscommon County Road Commission (RCRC) operates under the direction of five County Road Commissioners.  The commissioners are elected to six year terms, during which time they set the policies for maintenance, construction, and employees.

The RCRC employs 35 people.  Our Manager, Tim O'Rourke  is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the road commission, ensuring that the commissioner's set policies are carried out.  The Road Foremen, responsible for road maintenance and construction projects, each have a crew of 12, consisting of  equipment operators and truck drivers.  The shop foreman is responsible for a crew of  3 mechanics.
